Thymogen

Thymogen

Thymogen (Glu-Trp dipeptide)

Thymogen is one of the simplest immune-active peptides known — just two amino acids, glutamic acid and tryptophan (Glu-Trp), joined together. It was identified when researchers fractionated a natural thymus extract and found that this tiny dipeptide carried much of the extract's immune-regulating activity. Developed in Russia in the late 1980s under Vladimir Khavinson, it has been studied as an immunomodulator intended to help normalise immune function rather than force it in one direction.
