PNC27 (p53-derived membrane-active peptide)

PNC27 is a chimeric peptide built from two parts: a fragment of the human tumour-suppressor protein p53 (residues 12–26) joined to a membrane-penetrating sequence. It is an early-stage compound studied purely in anticancer research models. It has not been approved for any use and is of interest strictly for the unusual, selective mechanism observed in laboratory and animal studies.
