Growth-hormone-releasing peptide-6

GHRP-6 (growth hormone-releasing peptide-6) is a synthetic hexapeptide and one of the first growth hormone secretagogues ever characterised, by endocrinologist Cyril Bowers. Beyond prompting growth-hormone release, it is well known in research for also stimulating appetite. It helped open the entire field that later led to the discovery of ghrelin and its receptor.
