Epitalon

Epitalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly)

Epitalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) modelled on a peptide fraction first isolated from the pineal gland. It has been studied for more than two decades, primarily in the context of cellular ageing, telomere biology, and the body's own neuroendocrine rhythms. Of the short peptide bioregulators, it is among the most extensively characterised in the laboratory.
