Delta Sleep (DSIP) is a small naturally occurring peptide, first isolated in 1977 from the blood of sleeping rabbits and later found in the human hypothalamus. Its name comes from its association with delta waves — the slow brain rhythms of deep sleep. Beyond sleep, it has been studied as a broad regulatory and stress-protective molecule.
