Cardiogen (Ala-Glu-Asp-Arg)
Cardiogen is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Arg, AEDR) within the Khavinson family of tissue-specific bioregulators, developed with cardiac tissue as its principal target. Research has centred on the cells of the heart muscle and the fibroblasts responsible for tissue repair. Studies have been conducted largely in cell cultures and animal models, including comparisons between young and aged myocardium.
