Adipotide
Adipotide (prohibitin-targeting peptide, FTPP)
Adipotide is an experimental peptidomimetic with an unusual premise: rather than acting on appetite or metabolism, it targets the blood supply that feeds white fat tissue. Because fat is richly supplied with blood vessels, researchers reasoned that pruning that vasculature could shrink fat itself. It is one of the more distinctive entries in metabolic research.
